About Kafuu
Born in Kaohsiung in 2002. A jazz pianist, composer and arranger, Kafuu studied in the jazz programme at the Department of Music, National Dong Hwa University, under Yu-Chen Wu, Tsung-Lin Chan, Matthew Fullen, Aaron Goldberg and Guras Hsu.
Rather than following a conventional conservatory path, Kafuu began with anime and game music, exploring the musical world by ear and intuition. The work draws deeply on jazz, funk, R&B, fusion, gospel and classical, taking inspiration from ACG, literature, philosophy and religion — a language that is at once freely improvised and narrative.
