Born in Kaohsiung in 2002, he is a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger. He studied at the National Dong Hwa University Department of Music, majoring in jazz, under the guidance of Wu Yucheng, Zhan Zonglin, Matthew Fullen, Aaron Goldberg, and Xu Congyi.
Kafuu did not follow the traditional path of musical training, instead starting from anime and game music, and exploring the music world with his ears and intuition. His creations are deeply influenced by Jazz, Funk, R&B, Fusion, Gospel, and Classical music, and draw inspiration from ACG, literature, philosophy, and religion, developing a musical language that combines improvisational freedom with narrative qualities.
Alongside his own writing, he is active as a performer and cross-genre collaborator, having shared the stage with Rich Huang, Wen Loong-Hsing, Shawna Yang, Stacey Wei, Minyen Hsieh, Wen-Hui Tsai, Tim Lin, Antonio Hart, Yu-Wei Hsieh, Su-Ya and Hao-En, and has contributed to Vtuber music, album production and film scoring.
2022 saw the founding of Dongfang Ensemble, and 2025 the founding of 2000 Collective; he is also a member of O.O.H.Q (Out of Head Jazz Quartet), as well as the keyboardist of Yell Soul, established in 2026, continually exploring the possibilities between sound and story.
He has also served as jam session host at Weiwuying Open Jam, Hó Thiann Performing Arts, BANANA Music Hall (Pier-2), WiJazz Records, Rhythmscape and Bad Mama Taipei, and co-organised the "Jam Every Week" series with Rock and 鈕饅頭, helping promote jazz culture in Kaohsiung.
